Wait a minute. How the hell did this thread started out about asking people to readjust their tone to be come another HuyFong thread?
ENOUGH ALREADY. Everybody said everything that you ever wanted say. Shut up! Leave that in the past.
TroyGod, please drop your attitude towards nightbloom because she backed HuyFong. This IS NOT about that. I have heard you said that over and over already.
MrJoey, your attitude is not helping. I don't like how you curse at people, calling them noob this, pansy that. Please learn to control your temper when you post. You're a veterant here, please lead by examples.
I say this again, whoever talks about the HuyFong thing anymore is a dog.

This topic has nothing to do with HuFong
I see people brought that shit up ALL OVER again.
Either A) go read those threads B) add to ones not locked, or, shut up.
Or I shall help you.

I used to post exclusively over at Tavern, because that is the first forum I found. THen someone directed me here. At first I was "This forum is so NOOB!" But then, the happy atmosphere won me over and I barely post at Tavern now. Just being around you ppl has settled me because I liked how accepting everyone was. Here, I wasnt "nightbloom, member of bot hunter/scammer guild Avalon" but just nightbloom.
I am not only loyal to ppl, I am loyal to ideas. SRF took me in and just let me be. I got the chance to help ppl, pass on what I have learned, make friends and otherwise enjoy more SRO than before.
Everyone should have that. The old SRF is worth fighting for. Yes things change, but that is part of SRF that shouldnt.

I guess i could be seen to blame since I would incessantly argue with people BUT hell I was the only one..and I often only flamed general masses of people for their immense inability to actually have data to back up what they say.
These little mudflinging of juvenile egovomit sessions where one person goes "YOU CCFER" and then "YOu botter" however really deal with not general issue at all and simply serve as well static. You know what happens with a forum with too much static?
it just becomes white noise. and people stop wanting to use it as a channel for the community.
I encourage the mods to lock or delete posts/threads when a person just states suchand such does this without any appreciable amount of supporting evidence.
Hell YOu know what? go back to the original ban on all bot/ccfer discussion.
Let them go to the Tavern for that.
THis place is for community and debate NOT for your little vendettas and jealousy.

I know, that is why I love you guys. You know when it happened? When Fly told me that Ryoko put our wedding in the best threads ever sticky. Ppl at Tavern had heyday with that and used it to flame us like MAD. Here everyone was just "awwwwww". No one treated it like a bad thing and took it in the spirit it was intended. Fly and I werent getting "married", we were declaring to everyone that we were united to a single purpose and loyal to eachother. Everyone should have a friend like that.

In all reality, I'm actually in a much worse flaming mood than usual tonight. It's 1:30 a.m. I'm tired, strike 1. I haven't been able to play any mmo at all decently in over a month because my parent's pc is a piece of shit that can probably barely run solitaire, strike 2. Last, I have no patience for people who accuse without showing their name. If someone is being accused, they have a right to know who's accusing them. Strike 3.
I will not apologize for anything I've said tonight, it all stands. That being said, I better get my pc soon, or my fist might end up through my parent's monitor.

The problem with MMOs is that they require such patience and time that could be spent better doing other things. People dedicate a large part of their existence and their e-existence to MMos and so when they reach a certain level it's a feeling of utter nirvana.
I remember getting to level thirty in World of Warcraft and beating up on the low levels for the hell of it just to feel like king shit on the block. Yeah, I'm not proud of it, but you know something; an awful lot of people do that. Yesterday on Tibet some guy who is level 25 was beating on the lowbies and showing off.
The point I am trying to make is while I don't particular like that sort of behavior, I understand where people come from. You put any amount of time into something and you can become somewhat smug and arrogant in your ways. The bigger person is the one who admits it and moves on though.
EDIT:
You might also compare the flaming of noobs here to the hazing of College Freshman. Or maybe a Simpsons quote will help this along ...
"wait it seems whacking day was originally designed as an excuse to beat on the irish.
Irish Guy: Ah twas true; I took many-a lump but twas all in good fun!"

Im really not trying to feed them Bake, Im trying to make the REST of SRF counteract them. The only way to make things back to normal is ACT like we used to. If it was because of the noobs that came to SRF that made it a great place to hang out, then WHY THE HELL are ppl trying to run them off by being mean to them?
I have often encouraged ppl to come here for information when they are new. I have this terrible habit of going to Jangan and buying out newbie stalls. Then they PM me later asking questions while I am grinding. LOL I always tell them to come here and find the answer. Ill be upset if one of them PMs me that they came and some jerkoff was rude to them.

Ah, but trolls are like that cliche sci-fi monster that absorbs the energy from your ray gun. Don't be tempted to acknowledge them, even with the best of intentions. This post, in fact, is a little too close for comfort. He knows who we're talking about. Maintain radio silence.

NB, the cause is generation emo. Seeing as the main demographic of videa games is pubescent band-wangon-jump-on-ers you will see much of the emo coming out in forums all over the web.
Of course we could blame generation XL but they were just the precursor for the emos if you know what im saying. We can only hope that, in some twisted way the teens in the near future will become hippies and you will get your happy atmosphere back, although with a slight herbal fragrance.
Peace man!

Lol?
RACIAL PROFILING!!!!
No but seriously...
The bulk of the flames comes from boredom imo.
You know whats funny? My generation does less drugs than the Baby-Boomers, according to a new study. I lol'ed. Pill-poppers FTL!!!!!!!!
Thats totally unrelated and i'll thank you to stay out of my personal affairs.
Bakemaster makes me laugh.

You ever notice that tavern is nice, and gets more traffic? Not saying the two are related but...

nightbloom:
THANK YOU. i am a mod here, and i only read about 50% of the posts anymore. i only edit about 25% of what i feel i should because editing the rest usually means having to edit nearly every post in a thread. and when i DO edit/lock things, people post topics about mods being overbearing. this place used to be a tavern alternative; now it's a tavern mirror. after reading this post, i have a few more names to add to the "Names to be banned" thread in the mod section...
i don't think everyone should be happy all the time. i don't think that discussion, arguments, or negativity should be squashed. i DO think that people who post like assholes for the sake of posting like assholes or because they "say what they want no matter who cares about it" or whatever should just get a ban on principle. you're allowed to THINK whatever you want on SRF; you're NOT allowed to SAY whatever you want. we have been more lax on this lately, but i think it's time for a change back to old ways. i have a feeling more and more threads will have things like <<edit: flaming will not be tolerated here. -SG>> showing up in them. gg.

Is flaming allowed in this thread SG? 'cause you mention that it isn't but still you let this hypocrite (yeah, you heard me) nightbloom post her personal attacks on chu/chaud and the rest of those who really tell what the hell they think and that's just fine? Pointing out people? Come on, I thought we were more civilized then that, but I guess some people just can't wait to flame those who is cincere and honest about the shit-threads that has started to pop up on this forum. And by their "fair"-flaming, their e-penis grows. Congratulations, now let me do some "personal-attacking":
nightbloom: you talk about being honest and expressing your opinion all the time and that you've never been called a carebear? comeon, what is this thread about? You just tell people what they wan't to hear, so that they are pleased, and you go with the flow and chose your opinions wisely from what the majority part of forum-members already chosen. Sure, stick up for your internet-friends, it's not about that. But once in a while, please be honest instead of just trying to please everyone else? Since you have this great vocabulary (which all of us have seen) and you use all these "hard" words, being smart and all, try to see things from others pov? Btw, congratulations on that inch.
the rest of you suckups: you make me sick. It's people like cuchu and chaud and Stallowned that even makes me go to this forum, on tavern they're all nightblooms kind; suckups. If you like to go with the flow; go to the tavern. And yeah, I know what tavern is like. I haven't been there (or here, for that matter) nearly as long as you, but I know how it is 'cause I've been there long enough.
ontopic: I love threads about good deals, nice drops, tg kills or what so ever. But it's getting kind of annoying when people post "look i've killed tigergirl" and then leave it at that. No story about how it went, drops they got or what so ever. THAT's a stupid thread.

It’s NOT a stupid thread. Everybody whom plays silkroad would love to kill an unique (if they haven’t done so already). And when they do, they’re quite proud of doing so. Why? Cause on one server there are only three unique’s, and 1000’s of players wanting to kill them, if you’re the one to succeed, that’s a special thing, and they’d love to post about it. Even if they’re lvl 70 (TG - which is wrong, but understandable).

Oh noes! Im sure my name is on that banlist. If I'm banned for being mean...There is something wrong with you. I do try and give a valid answer, mean or not.

I don't really care if someone kills a unique. See on babel, if you are 40+ the most you really get is a NJ pm for friends, sometimes when our guild kills isy, we don't even mention it. I realize that it's different for lowbies, but they need to get over it. Look I killed TG! And so will several other people today on your server.
If everyone posted a topic, even with a story,
3 uniques * 5 spawns a day = 15 topics/day.
Thats spammity.
