With the recent cases of Arunce_LT and deathtoall, I got to thinking. I don't personally like the way things are starting to look. I don't like everything being a popularity contest. I remember when being legit actually meant something... not just being popular with some crappy "It was my brother, I swear" excuse.

Well, I decided to put Silkroad on hold while I get some stuff in order in life. Figured I would play a more laid back game like WoW for a little bit, as it isn't so time intensive and definitely cheaper. nightbloom has forced me into exile for choosing this path, but I guess that is what comes from something like this. It is interesting to see who your true friends are when things around you change. As such I am retiring Remus permanently, rather than temporarily like previously expected.

I guess I will go play with the other "weak" kids on WoW. Laters. xP

It's sad that you decided to leave SRO since you are one of the guys I associate with Venus and "legitness" overall.
I wish you better luck in WoW which probably is a way better game, but due to it's large size I missed the "smallness" of SRO :P

However I think I missed those cases with Arunce_LT and deathtoall. What happned?

Sad to see an other legit leave the game, but it is no excuse to create drama both here and on IGL.

I dont understand how does it concern you goob. I thought Gaia was great and all, so why dont u stay there instead of trolling venus section?

-Cels

Oh I love Gaia, and this isn't trolling lol, it was a comment. If Nog didn't want me to use his commentary, he shouldn't of posted it. BTW, still using someones account after you were banned? Thought Baro took care of you :)

Back on topic, since you don't seem to want to stay on it Cels. Again, sorry to see that happen Remus; and again I think its BS.

Seriously what is so great about WoW? I know SRO lacks a lot of shit for high lvls to do but isn't WoW the same? Either pvp or farm bosses for your final tier gear which would be the same as the rest of the players.....Aside from crafting and lvling those skills what is so great about WoW?

I found it boring as hell plus the lame graphics.

A lot more player coordination required, in both PvP and PvE. One mistake from anyone on your side in either part of the game, puts a lot more work on the others. (because they either have to kill the other players, or double their efforts to get a boss down, respectively)

Besides, WoW isn't about the end destination, it's about the journey, and it's always being expanded with new and fun content to do.

and ingame GM's, weekly events like fishing events and shit, and yes, constant updating. And the "fortress war" is 2x daily i think.

And, barring your Corrupt's out there, actually will cost you less.

oya, achievement systems, you can actually kill NPC's for fun, multiple jobbing systems, easy re-speccing (not like the tons of gold you pay in SRO to reskill). The next update to the game allows you to switch between two specs (for a one time fee of 1k gold or smth) so you dont have to pay 50 g per respec.

I've been researching. Might play it if i get some free time now that I've given a lot of my shit away and such on sro.

oh and 110k PK points xD

there is no PvP in sro....aside from the serious imbalance most fighting has been reduced to 1-hit kills. Thats not really skill. WoW is far from perfect but at least when i kill someone i actually have to do something. Not to mention that each class truly offers a different style of playing and then theres the raids which is really what PvE is about...i don;t see how you call going out into a field and killing the same mob for 2 levels until you can move onto the next one PvE....its just a crapshoot....I mean, WoW gest an expansion and it offers a whole new world of gameplay and content. You get an expansion an dyou get the chance to grind through a dungeon competing with goldbots to kill the same mobs over and over till you get the bottom which i heard somewhere was a 20min+ journey....just for more mindless killing....

besides its cheaper with better customer service....no point in spending money to keep up with the botters or even the legits so i can get to cap and....fight bots or legits.....and by fight i mean go 1212121212121212 till the other guy runs out of pots...

Dont bring my name up in your thread. If you would read as of like 2 dys ago arunce is gone. Stop being so bitchy.

Oh and btw... WoW blows
Horrible graphics
Fighting like im playing a old school rpg on a console.
Horrible graphics
take 1 month to cap and then sit there and do nothing.
Oh, and did i mention horrible graphics.

But seriously, how can you people play that game with the fighting engine they have implemented? I have tried, I seriously cannot get past the attacks looking like something out runescape.

I love how a different art direction = bad graphics. I love how a higher poly count = bad graphics. I love how you obviously failed at the game so much that you have to stick to games which MOVE AND TARGET FOR YOU.

<3

It's ok Death, we can't all be like you. ~_^

If you dont like sro, thats fine, stop bitching about it here.

Oh sorry, I did better then you in SRO if I remember rightly.

Not my you couldn't get groups together to run stuff. Lemme guess, Lv70, S2 welfares, and moved in Flame Wreath?

if your graphics are horrible get a better computer cause sro's graphics are far from mind blowing. If your to dumb for actual pvp thats understandable but don;t dog it because you can't press 123(repeating) and win. And correct me if im wrong but didn't ppl start capping within weeks of the server release on SRO....so they capped and then did what...a fortress war every week and.....?

yeah....
