Okay, I'll get straight to the point. I think there should be some sort or training or a rule stating that the higher players or ppl with more experience need to teach the newer ppl how to party. I know I haven't been here that long. I been on Venus for a month. I have 2 characters.
Over the past 2 weeks I been on my warrior/rogue and I forgot how bad sungs parties are formation wise. I been stuck at lvl 31 thanks to builds not doing their jobs, then they get mad and leave the party. (Example, cleric got HC but don't use it, then i die while i'm luring)
Or ( Example, tankers uses 2 hd and spam KD thus slowing down everything).

O another thing why the hell JoyMax dont have a help guide for euro parties? I mean party is pretty common sense yet ppl suck all the time.

Post your opinion about this.

I think someone tried to organize this a while ago, a teaching session or something. Might be a good idea though

I used to do that on Baro. It was fun. A little slow plvl, and a good lesson afterwards. Technically it was p-grinding. The concept was straight forward:
Higher level comes and grinds with the lower levels while giving them tips, etc. After a while this became unnecessary because most of the new low levels where just re-rolled players that knew how to party. I guess people stopped re-rolling.

MsCleric <3 But yeah, I agree. We always get crappy clerics or crappy tankers, and eventually I can only party with like 15 certain people, who aren't in my timezone.
I've been here for less than a month and I understood bard fully, I can't see why other people can't figure their own build! Either teach them, or tell them to go chinese :)

I can honestly say i have never been in a bad sung party. Recently my sung parites have been great, JKMC is a good tank and i've partied with him a lot, g0dhand is a good bard and, according to most people that have made comments, im a great cleric. My only complain is that wizards keep going afk too much, but i guess that happens from time to time.

Hell yesterday i was in a party consisting of just a cleric, a warlock ( myself) a bard and 5 wizards. I think one person died once in about an hour of grinding. With a bit of team work and communication you can make anything work.

If someone is playing "incorrectly", simply tell them yourself. If your so pro than give them a few pointers. Personally i think the real problem is people getting power leveld up to lvl 29 ( end of ongs ) and are then trying to party >_>

believe me. i have tried. i have tried over and over and over again. after u tell them more than twice to do something differently they stop listening. and if theyre really ignorant, which seems to b the case with most players these days, they dont even listen the 1st time.
the only real way u can get them to do it differently is if u do such an insanely good job at your build and u decide to leave cus of how crappy the pt is. i was tanking once at sungs several months back and i left the pt and ported to town cus of this 1 wiz. soon as they noticed i was gone they kicked the wiz that kept kbing and resetting the agro getting the ints killed, and asked me to come back. since then ive never seen him kb.

lately I tried a few times to help sung pts while waiting in line for PEGS or Guards - and every time it was a total failure. tanks running around without any idea how to protect ints, clerics that couldn't keep tanks alive and wizards that couldn't cooperate with lurers. and all equally immune to any advices on how to play :banghead:

IMO there shouldn't be any obligation for high lvls to teach newbies. we can't force them. we play this game for fun, not to create uber-players.
besides - you can't teach somebody, who doesn't want to learn (and yes - this goes to all 2h tankers who can't stop kb/kd-ing because it looks cool)

Some people are just stupid.

I have a pure bard who's now lvl 50 and it's really not that hard to understand your build all it takes is commonsense. It's like okay I'm supposed to keep everyones MP up. Alright. And I need to do it in this order cleric > wizards > tanks...it took me a whole 5 mins of partying to figure that out.
So this gets back to my point...the reason for some people not figuring out how to play their build...ever
Some people are just stupid .

I tried to do that with a punisher party but all i got were snotty remarks that i dont know shit and that lower level player has a higher level then me and no one listened :) after that i stopped trying to teach anyone anything.

The problem is that if you try to give them pointers, they think its way wrong if you dont have that build as they do since they have that build and think they know exactly how to play with it.

no actually its not. ive told other locks to keep multiple dots on multiple mobs when playing as my cleric sub in a pt. none of them ever did it.
my first wave of playrs that i went through on my 42 tank ppl were more willing to listen to advice and try it out. i taught a few other tanks how to tank properly very easily. they still werent as good as i was but there were a shitload better than average. even got all the wizzards to stop kbing mobs, got the pts to do 2 bards & 2 wizzes instead of 1 bard & 3 wizzes at lower lvls, got the tanks to agree on who was lureing and when so 1 was always available to watch the ints, and many other things that a pt should do. during my wave u could actually go to sungs at 28+ even as a tank. now they typically dont accept until 32 even for bards.
soon as i got bored of tanking cus i was too good at it and rerolled my lock/cleric i found out how much ppl can suck at their jobs, and how unwilling to accept advice or try different aproaches they can b when told they could do better.

For me I knew all the theory about tanking before I came to Venus, I had experimented with the build a little on Venus, read few tank guides and read Baro's pt guide, as such I knew that I wouldnt be able to hold aggro without vital increase, and that was the skills purpose, I knew not to KD because it would disrupt other pt members attacks and I knew if a mob was KB'd or had another restriction status on it, it would re-aggro on the closest target (most often an int), I guess if someone wants to make a comprehensive guide on each build that would help alot of new players. :D
