I would like to suggest a simple thing to the members of this forum..

stats speak themself :

Total posts 1073730 | Total topics 78036 | Total members 18561

we can test the strength of our community ??

My idea is to post a message, and that the whole community will be prevent by private message, it will then post on the forum silkroad online.

Example :

Quote:
we want a new event :

at fixed time Friday 9/ 08/2008 ( date fixed by forums mods..)

 jewel box
 monster scroll
 unique event
 xp rate etc...

ok ! now paste this message on the silkroad online forums and say you from the silkroadforums community...

after that maybe ,we can appreciate the values of our community and interets.

Thx discuss and share your idea

If you believe that works, might as well ask for free silk.

Only time I know they listen is when it's a bug report... :?

*Sigh* Wishful thinking.

I wouldn't mind Jewel Boxes though.
And if you think about it, they are giving us weekly bot bans as it is. On most servers at least.
<3 Babel.
So if they get 2000 - 3000 bug reports and people spamming their forum, wouldn't they feel unappreciated and stop the bot bans?

I know that if I was doing something like they are, and then 2000-3000 people started asking for more, I'd call them unappreciative whores and stop the bot bans.

What connection with the weekly ban ?

+ is a simple idea for a better game.

"unity is strength",

this project is not only for cry .

-we can thank  and let them know
-we can appreciate  and let them know
-we can encourage  and let them know

-we can denounce :x and let them know
-we can report :x :x and let them know

is not only for bad intentions.

Thx

We asked for a better* game with the weekly bot bans.
They've given it to us.

Now we're asking for an even better game.

*better here is a relative term because excluding Babel, most other servers have gotten better, at least with login.

And they have given us the CTF.
It's implemented forever now.

I'd be proud if my CTF Event and my weekly bot bans greatly increased my revenue.

Just looking at threads here, a lot of people have said things along the lines of, "Joymax is really shaping up, and to show my appreciation, I'm buying silk."

Not all sugar coated like that, but it's being said.

Bottom line is, Joymax is already giving us something we asked for. Weekly bot bans and CTF event. So now we're going to be inconsiderate whores and ask for more?

No.

i do have to admit joymax is giving the appearance of trying

but they really could easily do better

they can do better on bot ban, by banning isp addresses
if it cost too much to bot, botters will stop

as for the event i love it, but (a big but....)
it is so bugged, over half the time you can not even play
When you do it is so unfair, unless you have a super char,(full sox)
a wizard, nuker, or rogue with xbow

the event should foster team play based on team effort, once the mobs are dead it is basically a all for yourself event
clerics, tankers, bards, bladers, bowmen, warlocks, get little tickets

awarding of tickets could be made to teams based on many different aspects that would be fair to all (hp, mp, vigor, expenditure)
if you make a continued effort to help your team it would show in what you use in event, slackers would get less tickets or none for not helping

tickets could even to be easy just be rewarded for victory say a # per victory, plus # of kills by team distributed equally, with extra lost
losing team would get # of kills evenly distributed too

as far as problems with event not working
a very simple fix is to have the event every hour
but you can only enter every other hour
without knowing why the events bug, i think the problem is server traffic for event, this will less the traffic hopefully making the events work most of the time

so for my rant, problems seem easy to fix if you really want to fix them, money would not be lost, players would be happier, meaning they play more, meaning they may want to get bonus gear with silk items
making joymax more money
bot fix would make prices go down on items
items would be rarer, so there would be less super players
game would be fun again
